Hard Copy Sample Policy

Physical Copy of YOUR Perfect Bound Book Prior to Production

At WePrintBooks.ca we get a lot of requests to provide a physical copy of your unique perfect bound book prior to approving it for production purposes. We understand that you would like to see a physical copy of your book before doing a bulk order. We have created set pricing for clients that are interested in getting a sample book printed.

In order to be eligible to get reduced pricing for the sample book print, the client must provide a 50% deposit and approve the PDF flipbook proof. If further changes are needed after the hard copy sample book is delivered, extra charges will apply.

Our set rate for your first sample book print is $65.00 + HST. We highly recommend reading our cancellation policy below as this rate has been heavily subsidized to encourage a sample before producing your bulk order. If you require an additional sample book printed because of a revision, the price will no longer be heavily subsidized. The price for the following sample print will cost $300.00 + HST.

Our Cancellation Policy

Our cancellation policy is simple. 

All of our orders come with a PDF flipbook proof. However, if you cancel the order after the PDF flipbook proof has been received, there will be a $50.00 + HST charge removed from your account.

If you have requested a hard copy sample prior to production and decide to cancel your order, unfortunately there has been a cost incurred for the hard copy proof that was originally subsidized because of the bulk order. If the bulk order gets cancelled, the subsidy will no longer apply and the full rate of the book will be invoiced at $300.00 + HST. The reason for this fee is as follows: There are a lot of production costs that have been incurred on our part to provide you with a sample book.

  1. We preflight your book to ensure it is ready for printing
  2. We will fix any minor issues with your book and make it print-ready
  3. Provide you with a PDF flipbook proof
  4. We will set your book up for production printing on the front-end computers
  5. We will set up your book on our production printer on the back-end
  6. Print your sample book
  7. Set up perfect binding machine to bind book
  8. Trim the book to its final size
  9. Deliver the book to your address

To create one sample book takes approximately 5 – 8 hours to complete. Due to the extensive labour cost, limited materials and a courier charge. The rate is standardized at $300.00 + HST for the sample book print.
